In this beginner-friendly session from the MAXON Cinema 4D booth at NAB Show 2016, I demonstrate how designers can multiply their abilities with 3D.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at how I created the 3D artwork in MOONLIGHT, TRAVELER 02, and STAY FREE.

NAB Show 2016
Here’s something I’ve been asked A LOT. How did I get hooked up with MAXON?
When I was speaking at Adobe's MAX conference last year, I stopped by the MAXON Cinema 4D booth to meet the team and talk 3D. I introduced myself, told them about my work, and we kept in touch. A few months later, they invited me to join them at largest broadcasting convention in the world!
MAXON pulled together an incredible crew of directors, animators, and other 3D people to share their workflow and insight at NAB Show 2016.
Here are some of my favorite talks from the other presenters:
- Next Gen Concert Visuals with C4D — Steve Teeple
- Designing for VR with Cinema 4D — Joshua Michie
- The New World of VR Filmmaking — Casey Hupke
- 3D for Game of Thrones and National Geographic — Jeremy Cox
- Title Creation from Scratch — Dan Pierse
- DIY HDRI for VFX and Motion Graphics — Nick Campbell
This ended up being one of my all-time favorite speaking experiences in no small part due to the great company. I felt totally welcome, even as a newcomer.
Particularly encouraging was this Brograph interview with Paul Babb, the President and CEO of MAXON US.
Thanks so much to Mathias Omotola and the rest of the MAXON team for having me. See y'all next year!
